Thrift Store finds

The one on the left is an OK kid, with her original outfit including shoes and socks for $2. The one on the right is a toddler that someone scribbled on in green marker, but she was only a quarter and I'm a sucker for the #21 head mold.

The same store had a yarn haired PA-3, but she had makeup smeared all over her face and was not wearing CPK clothes, so I didn't want to pay $2 for her.

Creepy cat time

So, apparently there is a way to make koosas just a little bit creepier.
Darn cat must have gotten into the ipad and decided to play with photobooth (although I think F had something to do with it, since her head is in the corner of the pictures.)
The next one reminds me of when you leave them in the car on a hot day and their heads get all squishy.

But in all seriousness, I laughed so hard when I found these on there.
Chub cheeks

This one's my favorite.

Reminds me of the Cheshire cat off Alice in Wonderland.

Photos by S

Katy and her kids came over yesterday, and her 5 year old remembered the photos we'd taken of CPKs last time she was over. She asked if she could try doing it, and I told her she could. I wasn't paying a lot of attention to her, but later when I looked through my camera, I found she'd been very industrious. All of the following are her photos. She did all of the setup and all of the camera work by herself. (I did crop a couple of them.)
Juliana Laurel. This is the first one she did. I did suggest standing on a chair so she was taking pictures from above instead of below, but she drew the picture and made Juliana "hold" the markers and sit.
Gloria Beatrice. S really wanted to take Glory Bea outside and pose her, but let's be realistic. If I let my niece take CPKs outside, they're not going to be my popcorn girl in a fun fur.
Juliana again, this time she is also playing with the cat toys.
The background is unfortunate on this one, but it's Selena Fanni and Juliana coloring together.  You can also see my cat coming to see what she's doing. When flipping through the series of photos, I noticed she took a few and then added the marker to Selena Fanni's hand, which I thought was a nice touch.
She had a harder time with Roberta Lane because the light in my hallway had burnt out, so the pictures are a bit grainy.

Outfit swaps and new guys

I redressed my #1 freckled girl, Norma Zara, in my sailboat dress. She looks fantastic, naturally. Now I need to find a new outfit for the girl who was wearing the sailboat dress. I'm thinking maybe a ruffled windbreaker.

These are my three new guys. Left to right we have Gizmo, Julie Carma, and Maurice. Unfortunately Carma's hair is very frayed at the ends and I'm thinking I'll have to reroot her. In the meantime, I've given the teddy bib dress to Flo.
I think it looks pretty good on her. Brings out the blue in her eyes and whatnot. I also decided to find someone else to wear my teddy overalls, because my teddy overall guy is a bald #5 and I don't like #5s. My tan #4 is wearing them currently but I'm not sure how long that will last. Anyway, that's my new guys and clothes changes for the past little while.
